Major milestone for the trenchless rehabilitation experts from Rohrbach in Rhineland-Palatinate

RELINE Supplies 150th UV Curing System

In an industry where rehabilitation projects are often fighting against the clock, robust systems underpinned by reliable processes are worth their weight in gold. For RELINE, these include its UV curing systems, of which it has now supplied a grand total of 150. The landmark system was supplied to one of the company’s longstanding partners.

Rohrsanierung Jensen has relied on technologies and complete solutions from RELINE since the day it was founded. The firm, which has sites in Bordesholm and Essen, has already made use of RELINE’s UV technology to spearhead its rehabilitation of well over 1,000 kilometers of sewers. Their partnership was most recently demonstrated by the highly impressive rehabilitation of a 1.1-kilometer sewage pipe in Hamburg. This saw Jensen install the heaviest Alphaliner 1800H ever manufactured, which weighed in at around 45 metric tons.

High performance at the touch of a button

The REE4000 UV system that RELINE has now supplied boasts an exceptionally high lamp output of up to 24,000 watts in total, which enables even pipe liners with very thick walls and pipe dimensions of up to DN 2000 to be cured reliably.

Yet the REE4000 also has much in common with RELINE’s other models. For instance, a smart monitoring function automatically detects and offsets drops in performance affecting individual UV lamps, thus ensuring consistent curing quality throughout its useful life. The equipment is operated from a central control panel that is easy to use. The systems also have a modular design and can be integrated flexibly into a range of vehicle concepts.

Bespoke rehabilitation solutions

When it comes to equipment for rehabilitation vehicles, RELINE offers both standardized options and bespoke solutions tailored precisely to its customers’ requirements. Aside from the UV equipment itself, the vehicles typically come with additional components such as efficient generators, integrated pressure testing systems and powerful compactors and compressors.

The “Power Hybrid” smart hybrid energy system combines generator and battery running and is a particular boon for day-to-day operations on site, not least as it makes working even at low temperatures or in areas with strict noise limits child’s play.

“Something that we really focus on when developing and continuously optimizing our equipment is how easy it is to use in practice,” explains Christian Pfaff, Area Sales Manager Germany. “We design our UV systems in such a way that they’ll work reliably, safely and cost-effectively in all conditions and be perfectly attuned to the liner-laying processes they’ll be needed for.”

Two vehicles, one complete system

For example, the clever design of the milestone-marking system supplied to Rohrsanierung Jensen makes it the ideal complement to its existing vehicle fleet. The rehabilitation firm is using the UV system together with an accompanying support vehicle that is fitted with an equipment compartment containing a compactor as well as a pump compartment, a communal space and a space for working, thus enabling ideal working conditions on site.

Aside from the proven UV technology, its Managing Director Stefan Jensen is keen to highlight the reliable service provided by RELINE and the close dialog the two companies enjoy: “A building site is a challenging place to work day to day, and engineering and support need to go hand in hand. RELINE has never yet disappointed us in that regard. Products like its UV systems or the Alphaliner 1800H and the close personal support that we get help us to deliver complex projects reliably and safely.”

Facing the future together

Following the successful handover of the landmark system, Jensen and RELINE are already looking ahead with a common aim, namely to spot new market requirements early and turn them into technical solutions.
